Money

Money has lots of tangles in our thinking, as you will see in the following inspirational quotes. Is it a good thing? Is money a bad thing? Why do we want money? That is the question. Prosperity tends make us happier and fuller.

I want money just as other people do. I want it so I can feel safe from poverty. I want it so that I can do the things I want. I want it so that I can be my best self – so that I can get more education, take more courses, travel, support causes, and most of all so that I don’t get caught in survival thinking.

What I find however, is that I can have things I want, have incredible life experiences, and meet wonderful people, and that the universe brings these things to me sometimes instead of money, and I am quite happy about that.

Money never made a man happy yet, nor will it. . . Instead of its filling a vacuum, it makes one. If it satisfies one want, it doubles and trebles that want another way.
      -Benjamin Franklin

It is a kind of spiritual snobbery that makes people think they can be happy without money.
      -Albert Camus

“Like Franklin says in the opening quote, the more we have, the more we tend to want. I read that when John D. Rockefeller, the riches man of his times, was asked what would make him happy, he retorted, “One dollar more.”
      -M.J. Ryan

“Money has a perverse habit of evading those who chase it too hard, and of snuggling up to folks who are partially unmindful to it.”
      -Bruce Barton, 1928

“Get money – but stop once in a while to figure what it is costing you to get it. No man gets it without giving something in return. The wise man gives his labor and ability. The fool gives his life.”
      -Bruce Barton

Abundance Awaits

Monday, October 26th, 2009

Abundance awaits our request for it.  Many authors have written about abundance in all forms.  Here are a few wonderful inspiration quotes on abundance.

As you focus on the abundance rather than on the lack in your life, you will be designing a wonderful new blueprint for the future. This sense of fulfillment is gratitude at work, transforming your dreams into reality.

Sarah Ban Breathnach – Simple Abundance

Suspend your disbelief, Take a leap of faith. After all, what have you got to lose but misery and lack.

Sarah Ban Breathnach – Simple Abundance

The last inspirational quote on abundance is motivational to me.  Who wants to hold on to misery and lack when it is possible to have the flow of prosperity and abundance?  The Law of Attraction works on the simple principle of focus.  What you focus on is what you receive.  If you focus on lack and feeling impoverished, then you receive more of the same thing.

Changing one’s focus when you are in some depleted circumstances is not easy, because our attention is on the lack.  But by telling a different story to yourself, or by using simple ideas like “won’t it be wonderful when we go on that vacation in…..,” “I’m really looking forward to a full bank account.”  “Some of the real wonderful things I have been gifted lately are”

By changing your story, and your focus, you shift your feelings to a better vibe, one in which you open your receptors to the abundance that wants to flow to you.  Check out www.ofsuccesslaw.com and click on the category of prosperity to get more information on abundance.
