Success is an act of Creation

Saturday, September 24th, 2011 6:51pm

Success Inspirational Quotes help us see the path to success. What are the road signs to success? So much depends on your definition of success, and how you measure it. I define success as that process by which you use your strengths, talents and creativity to be fully alive, joyous, and contributing your life flame in a way that supports the aliveness, creativity and talents of others. You reach for your own highest and best, and support others in their highest and best.

Success means identifying your dream and passions, aspiring to the reaching of those desires, using the qualities persistence, patience, power. Going for your deepest dreams requires faith, trust, imagination, creativity, problem-solving, and planning, education and taking small steps continuously toward your goal. It is the state of mind to create from an idea, a physical approximation of the dream. It is a process of creation. It is an interactive process where you play and participate in the Great Mystery. You make choices, and then realign, and respond as your creation takes on a life of its own.

Here are some inspirational quotes about success.

There is no elevator to success. You have to take the stairs.
      –Unknown

No one can possibly achieve real success by being a conformist.
      –J. Paul Getty

The key of success is simple. Make people dream.
      –Gerald deNerval

The secret of success is constancy of purpose.
      –Benjamin Disraeli

Success is achieved by choosing well.
      –Conway Stone

You’re on the road to success when you realize that failure is merely a detour.
      –Anonymous

If you want to succeed you should strike out on new paths rather than travel the worn paths of accepted success.
      –John D. Rockefeller, Sr.

On occasion the ingredient for success is the surprise element. ….Think it through carefully, then if the situation warrants, change the recipe. Add the special ingredients of optimism, enthusiasm, courtesy, and positive thinking. Your innovation could be the surprise that will catch your competition off guard—and give you the winning edge.
      –Zig Ziglar

I believe success is achieved by ordinary people with extraordinary determination. Notice that I didn’t say it would be easy. Worthwhile accomplishments seldom are.

One of the main weaknesses of mankind is the average man’s familiarity with the word impossible. He knows all the rules which will NOT work. He knows all the things which CANNOT be done. This book was written for those who seek the rules which have made others success, and are willing to stake everything on those rules.
–Napoleon Hill in Think and Grow Rich

He does not believe that does not live according to his belief.
      –Thomas Fuller

Here take notice of a very significant truth, viz: The business depression started in 1929, and continued on to an all time record of destruction, until sometime after President Roosevelt entered office. Then the depression began to fade into nothingness. Just as an electrician in a theater raises the lights so gradually that darkness is transmuted into light before you realize it, so did the spell of fear in the minds of the people gradually fade away and become faith.

Observe very closely, as soon as you master the principles of this philosophy, and begin to follow the instructions for applying those principles, your financial status will begin to improve, and everything you touch will begin to transmute itself into an asset for your benefit. Impossible? Not at all!
      –Napoleon Hill

The ability to convert ideas to things is the secret of outward success.
      –Henry Ward Beacher

Greatness

Tuesday, August 30th, 2011 1:02pm

Greatness is reached for by so few of us. Yet we were born to be great, every one of us. We have become culturally hypnotized to think we are small, insignificant, unimportant, unloveable, and undeserving. Wake up, take a look around at the sky, and the earth around your. See your friends and family. Look for their greatness. There is greatness in every single human being, and we spend very little time looking for it.

As you look for it in others, you may begin to find a little of it in yourself. Greatness is not about being arrogant, or egotistical. Greatness is about reaching into the heart and soul of yourself and letting the realness of your love shine from your heart to others.

Dostoevski said “If you love everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things.
Once you perceive it, you will begin to comprehend it better every day. And you will come at last to love the whole world with an all-embracing love.”

You are great when you love. Enjoy and let yourself relax a little into your greatness with the following inspirational quotes.

Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambition.
Small people always do that, but the really great
make you feel that you, too, can become great.
      –Mark Twain

Laud not what you are, but what you may become.
      –Cervantes

No great man lives in vain. The history of the world
Is but a biography of great men.
      –Thomas Carlyle

Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.
      –Ralph Waldo Emerson

No one ever became great by imitation.
      –Samuel Johnson

Great works are performed not by strength, but by perseverance.
      –Samuel Johnson

People who are unable to motivate themselves must be content with mediocrity, no matter how impressive their other talents.
      –Andrew Carnegie

To be great is to be misunderstood.
      –Ralph Waldo Emerson

The greatest piece of real estate you own is the 6” between your ears.
      __Unknown

In great attempts, it is glorious even to fall.
      –Cassius

Great men are meteors designed to burn so that the earth may be enlightened.
      –Napoleon Bonaparte

Love all God’s creation, the whole and every grain of
sand in it. Love every leaf, every ray of God’s light. Love
the animals, love the plants, love everything. If you love
everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things.
Once you perceive it, you will begin to comprehend it better
every day. And you will come at last to love the whole world
      with an all-embracing love.
      Feodor Dostoevski

Desire

Sunday, July 24th, 2011 12:03pm

Desire is an impulse sent from our truest self to ask that we express more of who we truly are. When we desire, our inner resources are mobilized to go after something we want to be or to have. Desires launch from us like rockets signaling Infinite Intelligence that we want something. The Universe responds in kind.

Burning Desire helps us keep our momentum forward to our dream. Napoleon Hill wrote Think and Grow Rich just after the Great Depression. His recipe for success includes as a first step, DESIRE.

[If] there were none who were discontented with what they have, the world would never reach for anything better.
      –Florence Nightingale

Divine Discontent is about to get us moving again. This is how the spiritual world inevitably gets our attention. Heaven knows it tries with all the fun prompts: imagination, intuition, coincidences, synchronicity, daydreams, reveries, and delightful hunches. But after we ignore them for years, just as little grains of sand, or “sleep.” are left in the corners of our eyes at night, little grains of grit are deposited in the cavities of our souls, where they will begin to irritate the lining of our lives, much the way one grain of sand does to the oyster before it produces a pearl.
      –Sarah Ban Breathnach

Discontent and disorder [are] signs of energy and hope, not despair.
      –Dame Cicely Veronica Wedgewood

It is never too late to be what you might have been.
      –George Eliot

It’s never too late—in fiction or in life—to revise.
      –Nancy Thayer

The beginning of every great success is desire.
      Napoleon Hill

When you create desire, you also create
The ability to complete that desire.
      Dr. Robert Schuller

Only passions, great passions, can elevate the soul to great things.
      –Denis Diderot

Hope is desire and expectation rolled into one.
      –Ambrose Bierce

I had learned, from years of experience with men, that when a man really DESIRES a thing so deeply that he is willing to stake his entire future on a single turn of the wheel in order to get it, he is sure to win.
      –Napoleon Hill

Every person who winds in an undertaking must be willing to burn his ships and cut all sources of retreat. Only by doing so can one be sure of maintaining that state of mind known as a BURNING DESIRE TO WIN, essential to win.
      –Napoleon Hill

Only those who become “money conscious” ever accumulate great riches. “Money consciousness” means that the mind has become so thoroughly saturated with the DESIRE for money, that one can see one’s self already in possession of it.
      –Napoleon Hill

One must realize that all who have accumulated great fortunes, first did a certain amount of dreaming, hoping, wishing, DESIRING, and PLANNING before they acquired money.
      –Napoleon Hill

Awake, arise, and asset yourself, you dreamers of the world. Your star is now in the ascendency. The world depression brought the opportunity you have been waiting for. It taught people humility, tolerance, and open-mindedness.

The world is filled with an abundance of OPPORTUNITY which the dreamers of the past never knew.

A BURNING DESIRE TO BE AND TO DO is the starting point from which the dreamer must take off. Dreams are not born of indifference, laziness or lack of ambition.
      –Napoleon Hill

Believe

Thursday, July 14th, 2011 5:00pm

Believe and you receive” says Dr. Schuller’s inspirational quote. “Intense Belief in a goal is one of the most powerful forces on earth” says Zig Ziglar. Do you believe in yourself? I sure haven’t, and it has stopped me for years. I am slowly teaching myself to believe in myself and believe in others. We are taught in our American culture to turn to exterior sources, away from believing in ourselves in many ways. Our technology turns our attention away from our inside selves to the exterior. I think that corrodes away our ability to believe in our self. As we believe less, we need more external stimulation and entertainment or authority to distract ourselves away from the pain of not believing.

What I have recently learned is that I could dream a goal for myself, but if I truly don’t believe it is possible to achieve that goal, I don’t really move forward. Often I don’t believe it is possible because my imagination hasn’t been stretched enough so that I can see me actually “doing” my goal, in the future.

I write another blog on the laws of success and I’ve used myself as a guinea pig for lots of the articles I have written. I have a goal of writing a book on how to succeed. It is only very recently that I realized I was not able to imagine the book complete, and in the hands of readers. Writing wasn’t the issue. Belief and Imagination were the stuck places.

William James’s inspirational quote says that what the human mind can conceive and believe, it can accomplish. Finally, in my imagination workshops that I do regularly, I am seeing my book published, and read by lots of people. And I find that I continue to write steadily away. I hope you enjoy the inspirational quotes about the concept of Believe. You might enjoy some of the essays on imagination and faith over at www.ofsuccesslaw.com. The Purpose Inspirational Quote section is helpful too.

Believe and receive. Doubt and do without.
      –Dr. Robert Schuller

Impossible is a world found only in the dictionary of fools.
      –Napoleon

What the human mind can conceive and believe, it can accomplish.
      –William James

The man who says ‘it can’t be done” is often interrupted
by a man who is doing it.
      –Chinese Proverb

The height of your accomplishments will equal
      the depth of your convictions.
      –Walter Bagehot

It is a wonderful feeling when you discover some evidence to support beliefs.
      –Anonymous

A firm belief attracts facts. They come out of the holes in the ground and cracks in the walls to support belief, but the facts run from doubt.
      –Finley Potter Dunne

Every man believes he has a greater possibility.
      –Ralph Waldo Emerson

Ambition is the shadow of a dream.
      –William Shakespeare

Intense belief in a goal is one of the most powerful forces on earth….No matter what the odds may be or how insurmountable the barriers appear, belief dictates that there is a way.
      –Zig Ziglar

That last quote is one of the most significant inspirational quotes I have read. “Intense belief in a goal is one of the most powerful forces on earth.” Have you been taught to have intense belief in your goals? It’s time. Me? I’m going to wander back to read about Self Confidence. You? Believe in yourself. You are one of the miracles of creation.

Perfectionism

Friday, April 22nd, 2011 3:59pm

Perfectionism bombards us with thoughts of “I’m not worthy, I’m not enough, I’ll never amount to anything, I’ll never get it right, I’ll never be OK.”

How can we possibly be our best self and give our fullness to the world, when we are caught in the corrosive thought traps of our inner critic?  The following inspirational quotes can lead you to the path of compassion, acceptance, and connection with the human condition.  Understand how this pattern of perfectionism developed.  Recognize you inner voice urging you to perfectionism, and develop your adult inner voice that says “We’re all in this together. We are all enough. We are all trying to do the best we can do – and that ain’t ever going to be perfection.”

Think of your self-defeating thoughts as a fence around you marking where your compassion ends and your harsh judgments begin.  To free yourself, imagine stepping beyond the fence into a vast field that goes on as far as you can see.  Allow a breeze to thin out your thoughts and blow them away, and notice that you are part of the vast energy that connects us all.
      –Charlotte Kasl

How much of our lives are frittered away–spoilt, spent, or sullied–by our neurotic insistence on perfection?  Perhaps our parents expected us to live up to a standard they themselves could never achieve.  Certainly they wanted more for us.  But more of what?  Misery?  Haven’t you had enough?  Accept that perfection is unattainable.  In real life we should strive to be our best – not the world’s.
      –Sarah Ban Breathnach

Mistakes are the portals of discovery
      –James Joyce

Failure is the condiment that gives success its flavor.
      –Truman Capote

Always keep in mind that the Inner Critic’s original function is to spare us shame and pain…  In the growing-up process your parents have to teach you to look good and to behave appropriately in order to succeed in the world, both at home and in the workplace. After all, who would be to blame if you turned out badly? So you parents look at you, try their best to figure out what is wrong with you, and do their place to fix it.  The same is true of relatives, teachers, religious leaders, people in your workplace, and general acquaintances.

No matter what their motivation, the basic message you received …in all of this is:  “There is something wrong with you.”  The implication is that if only you would improve yourself all would go well for you.

In order to protect ourselves from the pain and shame of always being found less than we should be, a voice develops within us that echoes the concerns of our parents, our church, or of other people who were important to us in our early years.  We literally develop a “self” a separate subpersonality, that criticizes us before our parents—or anyone else, for that matter—can!…………It is extremely anxious, almost desperate, for us to succeed in the world and to be accepted and liked by others.
–Hal Stone and Sidra Stone - - Embracing Your Inner Critic

How do we embrace imperfection? What does it take to live and love from a place of worthiness?  How do we cultivate what we need and let go of the things that are holding us back?  The answers to all of these questions are courage, compassion and connection….  Our vulnerabilities are what force us to call upon these amazing tools.  Because we are human and so beautifully imperfect, we get to practice using our tools on a daily basis.  In this way, courage, compassion, and connection become gifts - - the gifts of imperfection.

–Brene Brown, Ph.D.The Gifts of Imperfection

Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we will ever do.
–Brene Brown, Ph.D. – The Gifts of Imperfection

I’ve come to truly believe that all that is being asked of each of us is to be as real as we can be.  To become fully ourselves and to offer that fullness to the rest of the world.  That’s no small task, indeed it is the ongoing work of our lifetime.  But it certainly is much easier-on us and others-that striving for perfection.  It frees up so much time, energy and joy—and can’t we use a whole lot more of those?
      –M J Ryan

I hope you have enjoyed this small glimpse into one way we contract ourselves.  To help yourself remember how much more your are, read This Miracle Called You and The Self, and the three essays in Life.

Problems

Problem Inspiration Quotes are helpful. Humor is helpful with problems. Creativity is helpful for problem solving. Some of the following inspirational quotes urges us to look for the good in the problem, look at the opportunity of the gift.

Watch out for phony or easy solutions to complex problems. When you spot a quack, duck.
      –Zig Ziglar

There is an advantage in every disadvantage and a gift in every problem.
      –John Johnson

How often in the past have you turned away from all that is unresolved in your heart because you feared questioning?
–Sarah Ban Breathnach – Simple Abundance

Real life isn’t always going to be perfect or go our way, but the recurring acknowledgement of what is working in our lives can help us not only survive but surmount our difficulties.
–Sarah Ban Breathnach – Simple Abundance

One of the most beneficial practices I know of is
that of looking for the good in everyone and everything,
for there is good in all things. We encourage a person
by seeing his good qualities and we also help ourselves
      by looking for them.

We gain their good wishes, a most valuable asset
sometimes. We get back what we give out. The time
comes when most all of us need encouragement; need
buoying up. So form the habit of encouraging others,
and you will find it a wonderful tonic for both those
encouraged and yourself, for you will get back encouraging
      and uplifting thoughts.”

Money

Money has lots of tangles in our thinking, as you will see in the following inspirational quotes. Is it a good thing? Is money a bad thing? Why do we want money? That is the question. Prosperity tends make us happier and fuller.

I want money just as other people do. I want it so I can feel safe from poverty. I want it so that I can do the things I want. I want it so that I can be my best self – so that I can get more education, take more courses, travel, support causes, and most of all so that I don’t get caught in survival thinking.

What I find however, is that I can have things I want, have incredible life experiences, and meet wonderful people, and that the universe brings these things to me sometimes instead of money, and I am quite happy about that.

Money never made a man happy yet, nor will it. . . Instead of its filling a vacuum, it makes one. If it satisfies one want, it doubles and trebles that want another way.
      -Benjamin Franklin

It is a kind of spiritual snobbery that makes people think they can be happy without money.
      -Albert Camus

“Like Franklin says in the opening quote, the more we have, the more we tend to want. I read that when John D. Rockefeller, the riches man of his times, was asked what would make him happy, he retorted, “One dollar more.”
      -M.J. Ryan

“Money has a perverse habit of evading those who chase it too hard, and of snuggling up to folks who are partially unmindful to it.”
      -Bruce Barton, 1928

“Get money – but stop once in a while to figure what it is costing you to get it. No man gets it without giving something in return. The wise man gives his labor and ability. The fool gives his life.”
      -Bruce Barton

Dare to Dream

Wednesday, August 04th, 2010 5:28pm

Dare to dream. It takes courage. How many of us experience support around our personal dreams? So we must learn to support ourselves and make space for ourselves to dream. As we dream, we become hopeful. As we become hopeful, we become expectant that our dreams will manifest. And before you know it, they do. Here are some inspirational quotes to support you while you begin dreaming.

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
      -Marie Curie

Always believe that you will ultimately succeed at whatever you do, and never forget the value of persistence, discipline, and determination. You are meant to be whatever you dream of becoming.
      -Edmund O’Neill

      Be open to all your possibilities;
      Possibilities can be miracles.
      Always believe in miracles!
      -Vicki M. Worsham

Let nothing hold you back from
Exploring your wildest fantasies, wishes, and aspirations.
Don’t be afraid to dream big
      And to follow your dreams
      Wherever they may lead you….
Only by dreaming will you discover
Who you are, what you want,
      And what you can do.
      -Julie Anne Ford

      Just
      Never let go of hope.
      Just
      Never quit dreaming.
      -jancarl campi

Sometimes it seems that our dreams
      Crumble in our hands.
We think that we have failed
      And that all we tried
      So hard to attain
      Will now always stay
      Slighly out of reach.

      But one failure cannot
      Crumble the dreams
      That years of hard work
      And dedication have built.
      So believe in yourself.
      -Jennifer Eller

      Whatever you can do,
      Or dream you can…begin it.
Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.
      -Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

To accomplish great things, we must not only act,
      But also dream,
      Not only plan,
      But also believe.
      -Anatole France

      Dare to Dream,
      For dreamers see tomorrow.
      Dare to make a wish,
For wishing makes way for hope,
      And hope is what keeps
      Us all alive.
      Dare to reach out
For the things no one else can see.
Be unafraid to see what others cannot.
      -Ron Christian

Your dreams are waiting patiently for you.
      -Nancye Sims

No one knows the mysteries of life
      Or its ultimate meaning,
But for those who are willing
      To believe in their dreams
      And in themselves,
      Life is a precious gift
      In which anything is possible.

Intuition Inspirational Quotes

Saturday, July 31st, 2010 5:15pm

Intuition Inspiration Quotes that follow tells us that intuition is a good compass for navigating our life. Intuition is a function of the self just as is all our five senses as is our imagination according to Carl Jung and Roberto Assagioli.

Many people who are successful use their intuition to guide them. If we trust our intuition, we can skirt around potential harm. Some may even call intuition that still small voice. These inspirational quotes suggest that we trust and follow our deepest instinct.

Intuition is handed from parent to child in the simplest ways: “You have good judgment. What do you think lies hidden behind all this?” Rather than defining intuition as some unreasoned faulty quirk, it is defined as truly the soul-voice speaking.
      -Clarissa Pinkola Estes

Intuition is a spiritual faculty, and does not explain, but simply points the way.
      -Florence Scovel Shinn

Intuition is the subliminal sense Spirit endowed us with to maneuver safely through the maze that is real life.
      -Sarah Ban Breathnach

It is only by following your deepest instinct that you can lead a rich life and if you let your fear of consequence prevent you from following your deepest instinct then your life will be safe, expedient and thin.
      -Katharine Butler Hathaway

Revelation; the inner knowing that helps us arrive at the right place at the right time so that we can be swept away by the benevolent flow of synchronicity that gets us where we’re meant to be as easily as the Universe can arrange it.
      -Sarah Ban Breathnach

Inspirational Quotes on Choice

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010 6:23pm

Inspirational Quotes on Choice

Inspirational Quotes on Choice hint that our power of choice is phenomenal. How often have you celebrated your acts of choice? Savor your opportunities for choice. Actively look for all the choices that you make in a day. Don’t let your day, your week, your years slide by without fortifying your power of choice. Your choice makes a difference each day to you.

The self is not something ready-made, but something in continuous formation through choice of action.
      John Dewey

If you limit your choices only to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect yourself from what you truly want, and all that is left is a compromise.
      Robert Fritz

Destiny is no matter of chance. It is a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.
      William Jennings Bryan

If we could raise one generation with unconditional love, there would be no Hitlers. We need to teach the next generation of children from Day One that they are responsible for their lives. Mankind’s greatest gift, also its greatest curse, is that we have free choice. We can make our choices built from love or from fear.
      Dr Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.
      William A Foster

As human beings, we are endowed with freedom of choice, and we cannot shuffle off our responsibility upon the shoulders of God or nature. We must shoulder it ourselves. It is up to us.
      A J Toynbee

Every person, all the events of your life are drawn there because you have them there. What you choose to do with them is up to you.
      Richard Bach

The greatest power that a person possesses is the power to choose.
      J Martin Kohe

Powerlessness might just be the worst feeling we humans can face. When we’re imprisoned physically, emotionally, or even in our own minds, when we can’t choose our own destiny, we’re in trouble. This is the stuff of binge drinking, murderous rampages, and dyeing your hair blue just to see what it feels like. Seeking out choices and making good ones will always make us happier. And for those times when there seems to be no choice, try looking at the situation from another angle. There’s often a hidden gratifying choice in there somewhere.
      Addie Johnson

When you’re all about control, the only choices you can make are choices that will help you maintain your sense of control. You are a slave to your own need to predict the future. The only way to make real, unfettered choices is to relinquish the need to know every possible outcome of the choices you make.
      Addie Johnson

Enjoy your power of choice. Hug it close. It is the power you are seeking. You might want to check out the inspirational quotes on purpose and self.
